  • "I traded a 2006 4runner sport edition with a 245 hp v8 and expected a 270 hp v6 to be at least equal in performance but it falls very short. The vehicle slows down on very slight grades with only me in it, I shutter to think what poor performance I will get when towing my small boat and traveling in the mountains of northern New England. I AM VERY DISSAPOINTED. Are there plans to bring back the v8?"

  • "I am In Love with my 4-Runner. The only thing I can say that is not so great is the fuel efficiency. I only get 19.3 miles per gallon and that is even on the highway. The sound system is OK, but a lot less than expected. It could just be because I am not use to the large cabin space. This is the best preforming car/truck, way above what I even expected. On long trips it is very comfy, and I love that the back seats recline. The pick up power is outstanding and I never worry about having to enter the highway or merge, my 4 runner is going to get me out of the way with no hesitation. I have almost 8k miles on it in three months, so I have had a good chance to test it out. I have even had it in the mountains and it pulled the hills like a champ! Handles great on wet roads as well. If you are on the fence about this truck, go ahead and jump. I think if you don't mind giving up a little fuel economy in exchange for comfort and performance, It is worth it! Also, I drove a challenger before as my daily driver, a 91 vet for our fun car and we have a 4 wheel drive truck, just so you know where I coming from."

"I love this vehicle and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a SUV. The interior is very roomy and attractive. This is my 3rd Toyota (Camry, Tacoma, and now the 4Runner). I have never had a negative experience with any of my Toyota vehicles. They are extremely dependable and run forever!!"
