  • "Overall I am very satisfied with my 2006 Fusion. At the 180,000 mile mark I have yet to have any significant issues with the car. I drive 90 miles per day, 4 days per week on the interstate. This car is very reliable. The only issue, which I think is somewhat common with this model, is the thermostat has some issue that triggers the check engine light. Sometimes it will go out for a while, but it will eventually come back on. You can't just replace the thermostat though because it is part of a housing. I replaced the housing once at a cost of ~$300, but, within 2 years and not long after the part warranty expired, it threw up the same code (Coolant temp. too low) related to the thermostat. It doesn't affect the performance of the car whatsoever. Just a nuisance issue."
