  • "The traverse is a good pick for families with 3 or more kids and a mom who doesn't want to drive a van. The interior is comfortable and cloth cleans well. Living in Michigan, despite being FWD it does well in the snow and have never gotten stuck or had issues driving at speeds suitable to the conditions. The sounds system does really well for mom and the kids, but this model does not have a DVD player for the kids which would have been nice. If you are using the optional third row, the amount of cargo space is extremely limited and now long trips require a trailer hitch cargo box/trailer or a roof rack carrier. The fuel efficiency is probably the worst in its class with 14-16 MPG city and 18-20 MPG on the highway based on my experience. For that gas mileage I feel like I should be driving a V8, but alas the V6 provided isn't going to break any speed records and sounds like the engine might explode if you gun it to accelerate from the on ramp to the highway and beat the 18 wheeler that isn't moving over to let you on."
