Question: strange vibration in the Steering Wheel and engine comp.

Before the Harmonic Balancer went.. My car was very quiet. but a couple months before it went there was a vibration in the Steering wheel that i can feel but it wasn't there before.... it vibrates even when the car is standing or driving. I have had 2 mechanics look at it . One say they should change the ballancer again. Another said I should have it scooped... it seems to make more noise when you turn the wheel when you are standing still also at times it sound like there is a light tap in the engine compart like a air filter is loose. The at other time it sounds like the power steering unit is going out. I have had the tires check and it aligned for I had hit a curb hard and the said said yes it was out bad but everything was fine now and they saw no damage and nothing unusual. Told me to take it to a mechanic
they suggest...But going down the freeway and standing still sometimes it feels like it the motor mount either is loose or bad... As you can see it is driving me nuts...I have an appointment wednesday maybe either you have some idea what it could be..... Thank You So Much ...
